Lauren is an ambitious designer that believes landscape architecture can be used to change the world for the better. From social justice to mental and physical well-being, she sees design as a medium for healing both humans and the environment. Lauren has a deep passion for restorative urban design and creating equitable, resilient, long-lasting landscapes that can survive as the world around us evolves.

Lauren graduated with distinction from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a minor in sustainable business. Her thesis and capstone projects examined the role of landscape architecture in the fight against climate change, researching sustainable design and nature-based solutions in urban environments. Currently, Lauren is a member of the CSLA Committee on Climate Adaptation, where she works with landscape architects across the country on climate advocacy and education in the profession. She is also actively pursuing full licensure, always looking to learn and grow as a young professional, including through volunteering and continuing education.

After a year of practicing in her home province of Ontario, Lauren brings strong technical, graphic, and problem-solving skills to Hapa, with her main goal being to create innovative and forward-thinking design solutions. She strives to apply her passions to all projects that come across her desk, which most recently is a community waterfront park in Port Edward, a development with a privately-owned public space (POPS) in Surrey, and a beachfront park in Victoria.
