  • Landscape Designer

Julie came across landscape architecture through her combined passion in the arts and illustration. She enjoys wandering around the outside with her sketchbook and drawing the moments she finds inspiring. Through a background in geographical sciences and environmental design, she has developed comprehensive understandings in landscape architecture and the enthusiasm in creative designs.

While pursuing her Honours degree in Bachelor of Environmental Design at the University of British Columbia, Julie was exposed to a variety of design disciplines and her interest between architecture and landscape architecture was formed. She is intrigued by the transitioning space that links the indoors and outdoors. She sees this as opportunities for people to make connections and promotes livability in a community. She believes that small design changes would bring valuable influences to create a more sustainable and interconnected environment.

Since joining Hapa, Julie has been working on the landscape aspects of the Elmwood development, a high-rise multi-use project located in Burquitlam. Through offering supports to a variety of projects using her highly proficient graphic and technical skills, Julie continues to enrich her professional experience and further herself within the landscape design field.
