  • Landscape Designer

With a unique blend of cultural backgrounds as a Chinese Indonesian Canadian/American and her appreciation of both science and art, Brittany has found her balance by channeling her passions in design. Her fascinations in the cross overs of the built environment and natural world led her to pursue landscape design, where she could explore her interests in ecological restoration and spatial storytelling.

After transitioning from environmental science, Brittany graduated with honours from the Bachelor of Design in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urbanism at the University of British Columbia. This multidisciplinary education helped develop her well-rounded perspective and skillset in urban, landscape, and architectural design. Her driving force is her commitment to creating beautiful and ecological conscious spaces that are accessible to all. Her undergraduate thesis, “To My Great Grandchildren,” exemplifies this drive, showcasing her creativity in energizing spaces, employment of sustainable building techniques, and embracing of forward-thinking climate-conscious design principles. She was also able to utilize her skills in story telling and hand drawing to present these ideas as a graphic novel.

Brittany’s expertise extends to her strong graphic and technical skills, as she supports a variety of projects such as the masterplan for Port Moody Parks, the Calgary Riverwalk Competition, and the Lonsdale Quay Interim Plan. She continues to develop her design career and hopes to make a positive impact in her community.
