Vanessa brings design leadership and project management experience across a wide range of award-winning projects. A Texas native, she co-led the design efforts at a Dallas-based landscape architecture firm, shaping projects throughout the Greater Dallas–Fort Worth area and the Southeast U.S.—from 100-acre park master plans and urban infrastructure to high-rise rooftops, retail redevelopments, and large-scale master-planned communities.

Most recently, she helped establish a Toronto-based studio’s presence in the rapidly growing DFW Metroplex, where she played a key role in expanding the firm’s portfolio while mentoring emerging designers and cultivating a collaborative design culture.

Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture with a minor in Urban Planning and a minor in Philosophy from Texas A&M University. Her academic foundation explored the intersection of altruism and design—seeking ways to intentionally reconnect people with nature through thoughtful, purpose-driven spaces.

Her work often centers on community engagement, using landscape architecture as a platform for advocacy, health, and empowerment—especially in underserved areas. This commitment is deeply rooted in her volunteer experiences in Africa, Nepal, and Vietnam, where she learned native construction methods, sustainable practices, and the essential human needs that inform her passion for resilient and inclusive design.

Throughout her experience, Vanessa is driven by the belief that great design starts with listening. With empathy at the core of her process, she seeks to understand the lived experiences behind each project, recognizing the role of landscape architecture as a catalyst in supporting mental well-being and emotional connection. She strives to translate the unique voice of each community into site-responsive, enduring landscapes that are as functional as they are meaningful.
