Lions Gate Hospital

The acute care Paul Myers Tower at Lions Gate Hospital serves residents of the North Shore, Sunshine Coast, Central Coast, qathet Region and Sea to Sky corridor. The tower is a major expansion of Lions Gate Hospital designed to enhance patient care, staff workflows, and the overall hospital experience. On this project, Hapa produced a series of restorative gardens designed to provide healing space for patients, families and staff.
The rooftop garden at the Paul Myers Tower offers a peaceful outdoor environment that supports healing, wellness and connection to nature. Featuring a walking path and the Two Sisters gathering space, the garden provides patients, families and staff with a place for reflection, recovery and respite. Developed as part of the tower’s patient- and family-centred design, the space also reflects Indigenous cultural perspectives incorporated through collaboration with the Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
