Hapa is producing an Urban Design Framework for Northeast False Creek that outlines a multimodal strategy for public realm, associated with the removal of the Georgia and Dunsmuir viaducts and reconfiguration of Pacific Boulevard. Our work includes the development of an area street hierarchy and guiding principles for the transportation network through numerous outreach workshops with a diverse group of consultants and stakeholders, focusing on the design of key street and intersection conditions. The framework also addresses the interface of the entire Northeast False Creek area with the new Creekside Park and third party building sites, right-of-way criteria including bicycle paths, sidewalks,
and street trees, and materials studies for paving, planting, site furnishings and lighting.
